Kj works mk1 gas pistol
Out of stock
The KJ Works MK1 is a non-blowback gas pistol modelled after the classic Ruger MK-I, though it's an unlicensed replica. It features a fixed slide, making it exceptionally gas-efficient and whisper-quiet - perfect as a stealth sidearm or backup gun in outdoor or close-quarters play.
Key Features & Specifications
-
Operation: Gas-powered, non-blowback design with double-action only (DAO) trigger. The inner barrel moves as you pull to load and fire each shot.
-
FPS / Performance:
-
Typical velocity: ~350-400 FPS with 0.20 g BBs (about 0.98-1.1 joules) using green gas.
-
Higher readings up to ~450 FPS reported in warm conditions or with propane-based gas
-
-
Construction: Alloy (metal) internal frame under an ABS/polymer outer shell; full-metal barrel; metal hop-up chamber in newer units
-
Hop-Up: Fixed but adjustable internal hop-up unit (requires small hex key via top-receiver slot).
-
Magazine: Drop-out heel magazine in the grip holds both gas and up to 17 BBs; easy to load and refill.
-
Sights & Safety: Fixed front and adjustable rear iron sights; onboard sliding safety switch on grip frame.
-
Size & Weight:
-
Length: ~245-250 mm (~9.5 inches)
-
Weight: ~550-565 g (approx. 1.2 lb) empty.
-
Performance & Usability
-
The gas efficiency is outstanding: one fill can deliver 40-50+ shots before noticeable power drop-off, making it ideal for extended use without frequent refills.
-
Accuracy is reasonable for a backup pistol - users report groupings of around 1-2″ at 6 m with good hop-up setup and heavier BBs like 0.25-0.30 g.
-
However, the trigger pull is long and heavy, due to its moving-barrel DAO system. It takes practice to keep sights steady through the full pull cycle.
Pros
-
Extremely gas-efficient and quiet operation
-
Lightweight and compact, ideal as a secondary or stealth pistol
-
Solid reliability and construction for its price
-
Fixed hop-up and adjustable rear sight help tune shot consistency
